Houthi terrorists vow to resume attacks on Israeli ships after Gaza aid deadline ended

Today is day 477 of the Red Sea crisis. We are also at the end of the Houthies’ ultimatum today and hence they are about to recommence targeting what they label as vessels with Israeli interests.

As has been the case throughout the Red Sea crisis, smaller carriers are benefitting from being able to transit whilst the global carriers deviate around Africa.

The latest development here is a launch of a new service by Turkon and Arkas connecting Nhava Sheva and Mundra to 5 ports in Turkey via the Red Sea.

Trump announced he will increase the tariff on steel and aluminum from Canada to 50% as from tomorrow (Wednesday).

This is in retaliation to the new 25% tax on electricity exports introduced in Ontario. This tax was of course itself a retaliation to Trump’s tariffs.
